Two laser sources means two almost separate collections sharing one page. The fibre side works metal directly with no coating: aluminium, stainless steel and brass appear in roughly equal measure, turning up as coins, dog tags, keychains and pendants, and colour marking on stainless is the capability makers share most. The diode side covers plywood and hardwood, which is the single largest material group here, feeding puzzles, wall clocks and seasonal pieces. Leather, acrylic, slate and paper make up the remainder. Glass barely features, so look elsewhere if that is what you came for.

FAQs

What can a fibre laser mark that a diode cannot?

Bare metal, without any coating. A diode laser needs a marking spray or a powder on steel, brass and aluminium, and the result is a layer sitting on the surface that eventually wears. A fibre source alters the metal itself, so the mark survives handling, washing and years of use.
