Information

Attempt to use a laser engraving machine to achieve the traditional technique of cloisonn é enamel printing. Import your design drawings into XCS software, and AI will automatically stroke them to clearly display the line contours. By using preset oak board filling and carving parameters in the system, it is easy to print patterns on circular coasters, greatly reducing the workload of drawing lines and providing great assistance for precise positioning of patterns.

Import the pattern into XCS and select 3mm oak board as the material. The processing mode is flat machining>filling carving.
Parameters: Blue light, power 90%, speed 1250, processing once, carving density 100 is sufficient.
The processing parameters are mainly based on the material base plate you selected. I am using a 15cm diameter bamboo coaster. If it is some thinner coasters, you can consider reducing the power to carve.

After the lines are carved, you can use 0.5mm/0.3mm gold wire, combined with hand glue, to fix the overall lines by pinching according to the carved traces. You will find that carved lines do not have to worry about being erased like rubbing lines, they are very clear. If you want deeper lines, you can consider increasing the number of carvings, preferably 2-3 times. This makes it easier to fix and bend the direction of the gold wire.

Next, according to the design drawings, corresponding glazes can be used to fill the corresponding areas on the color blocks. Attention everyone, the height of the gold wire is about 1mm, and the height of the blue glaze should be controlled between 0.6-0.8mm, otherwise it is easy to overflow and mix colors. Specific process prevention measures will not be explained in detail here. Interested friends can leave a message below.
