Test painted wood to see the ideal settings for your project. Achieve the right tone of engraving to get good contrast to your paint, and ensure you engrave deep enough to remove all the paint.
Add the wood to the laser bed and use the built-in camera (or positioning system) to add the material to the software
Ensure the design is over the wood
Ensure your exhaust is vented outside
When ready, hit start on the software, then hit the button on the machine to allow the job. Do not leave the machine alone when in use
When finished, remove the material from the laser and wipe gently with alcohol if needed to remove any soot. Do not sand as you will remove the paint.
Check the results and tweak the settings as needed to get the colour, depth and look right for your project
