Description

Make a layered mandala for the wall: 3 to 6 stacked layers of 3 mm plywood or MDF, with a name or an initial in the centre if you want one. Start from one of 10 templates or pick a pattern style, press Shuffle until you like what you see, and the live wood preview and the 3D view update as you change each setting. Before you export, the generator checks every layer, and export only unlocks when all the checks pass.

With a family name or an initial in the centre, it becomes a personal gift for a home, a wedding or a nursery.

Make it yours

The 5 pattern styles of the layered mandala generator: Floral, Geometric, Lace, Sunburst and Rose window
  • 10 templates: ready-made starting designs in the panel on the left (Classic floral, Floral monogram, Geometric star, Geometric tiles, Lace doily, Lace with a name, Sunburst, Sun with an initial, Rose window and Gothic arches). Pick one, then change anything.
  • 5 pattern styles:Floral, Geometric, Lace, Sunburst and Rose window, each with a variation number (1–9999) and a Shuffle button.
  • Size and layers:100 to 400 mm across, in mm or inches, with 3 to 6 layers. A 250–280 mm mandala fits a 300 × 300 mm work area.
  • Pattern controls:symmetry (6 to 24 repeats), detail (Low, Medium or High), minimum line width (1.5 to 3 mm, 2.0 mm by default) and a Flush or Stepped edge.
  • Centre text: none, an initial or a name, in 6 fonts (Classic, Script, Modern, Heavy, Rounded, Retro), engraved or cut out.
  • Hanging: a keyhole slot in the back layer with a hidden pocket for the screw head, a simple hole, or nothing.
  • Layer numbers:Optional small engraved numbers that show the gluing order and are hidden once the layers are glued.
  • Three views: a live wood preview with Classic, Ombré, Cherry or Painted surfaces (preview only, the files don't change), a 3D view you can turn and zoom, with an exploded view that spreads the layers apart, and a Cut layout view of every layer.
  • Project summary:finished size, top layer, material, sheet size per layer, number of openings and total cut length.
  • 17 languages:the generator follows your Atomm language.
Centre options: a name engraved, an initial engraved, a name cut out, or the pattern only

Checked before you export

A finished layered mandala with the name Sofía next to its checks panel: every check passed, plus the project summary
  • Each layer is one piece
  • No bridges thinner than the minimum line width
  • Each layer sits fully on the one below
  • No holes or slivers under the centre text
  • Minimum line width respected
  • Engraving sits on solid wood

If a check fails, the app tells you which layer needs attention, and export stays blocked until every check passes.

How to use

  1. Pick a template on the left, then set the diameter, the number of layers and your units.
  2. Choose a pattern style and a detail level, then shuffle or change the variation number.
  3. Add an initial or a name, pick a font, and choose engraved or cut out.
  4. Choose the hanging option and the edge, then look the piece over in the 3D view and the Cut layout view.
  5. When every check shows a green tick, export your files.
  6. Cut each layer, then stack and glue them in order. Open Tips in the app for the full fabrication walkthrough.

What you get

What you get: one SVG per layer plus an all-layers SVG, red lines cut and blue areas engrave
  • One SVG with all the layers side by side, plus one SVG per layer
  • Real size, 1:1 in millimetres, nothing to scale
  • Red lines cut through, blue areas engrave (the name and the layer numbers)

Material

Made for 3 mm plywood or MDF on a diode or CO2 laser. Run a small test cut first to dial in your settings, and put masking tape on the top face to keep smoke marks off. For the light-and-dark look in the preview, stain every other layer or cut it from a darker wood before gluing.

Gallery images are previews rendered by the generator.
