Beloved Friend – Dog Memorial Pocket Hugs

      A small keepsake created to remember the dogs who leave the biggest paw prints on our hearts.

I designed this collection of laser engraved wooden dog memorial pocket hugs, with each breed holding a heart engraved with the words “Beloved Friend.” The idea was to create something small enough to carry every day, but detailed and meaningful enough to feel like a genuine reminder of a much-loved pet.

Each pocket hug measures approximately 42mm tall, with the width varying depending on the breed. I created 12 different dog breeds, each individually illustrated and prepared for laser engraving, with the option to leave the design as a pocket-sized keepsake or add a keyring so it can travel with its owner.

The collection currently includes Border Collie, Chow Chow, Cockapoo, Cocker Spaniel, Dachshund, French Bulldog, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Jack Russell Terrier, Labrador, Pug and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Pet loss is something almost every pet owner eventually has to face, so I wanted this project to be simple, comforting and personal rather than overly complicated, just a tiny wooden reminder of a beloved friend who will always be remembered.
