Wish You Happy, Ruby!

Time has a strange way of moving when it comes to the pets we love. It feels like only yesterday that Ruby moved back to South Korea with my close friend, settling into a life an ocean away. Since that move, our moments together have been rare; the last time I saw her was during a trip to Korea last year, a brief but precious reunion with that "cute little thing" who never seems to lose her charm.

Next week, the wait finally ends. Ruby is coming to visit my home, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. Her visit coincides with her 7th birthday—a milestone that feels both significant and celebratory. To mark the occasion, I wanted to create something that captured her spirit, using the third photo in this series as my blueprint for a custom crystal engraving.

There is something special about the number seven. As she enters this "Lucky 7" year, my only wish is for that luck to translate into boundless health and happiness. Seeing her image take shape inside the crystal reminded me of how much joy she brings to everyone around her, regardless of the distance.

This gift is a celebration of her journey and a wish for many more years of companionship. I can’t wait to see her next week, to celebrate her birthday in person, and to witness her continue to grow alongside my friend for a very long time to come. Happy 7th Birthday, Ruby.
