Two pieces of plywood, slotted together
The stand is a cross-lap joint: two profiles that slide together at 90 degrees and hold a card, a print or a coaster upright. A small thing on the desk, made from the material you already have.
How to use it
- Enter your plywood thickness and the size you want.
- Add an inscription: text, typeface, size and position, on one part or on both.
- Look at the sheet in the Result panel and pick Nested or Two up.
- Export, open the file in xTool Studio, choose the material and cut.
What you control
- Plywood thickness, overall height and width
- Arm thickness, slot position, corner radius
- Foot height, and a relief notch that leaves the base standing on two rails
- Inscription in six brand typefaces, with size, position, rotation and a choice of A, B or both parts
The file you get
- Red outlines are the cut, blue fills are the engraving
- If Studio opens the red group as Score, switch it to Cut
Sheet layout
- Nested turns the second part round and fits it into the first part's free corner: for example 111.8 x 102.8 mm instead of 166 x 84 mm
- Two up lays both parts flat with the inscriptions upright, on a larger sheet
Good to know
- Slot width is the plywood thickness you enter. The file carries no kerf or fit allowance: set kerf in xTool Studio, and test-cut a sample before a batch
- Letters that reach past the edge are trimmed off, and the note tells you when nothing is left on the part
