🌟A parametric stand for phones and tablets. Two flat plates slot together with through-tenons — no glue, no screws. Everything you change is checked against whether the finished stand will actually stand up, and the file you export is the machine file: 1:1 millimetres, red for cut, blue for engrave.

What you can change
- Outline — rounded rectangle, arch, cat head or bear ears.
- Device — small / standard / large phone, or 8″, 11″ and 13″ tablets. Pick a size and the plate dimensions follow; or enter your own width, height, thickness and weight.
- Lean angle — 8°–25°. The angle sets how far the base plate reaches forward, so it changes the footprint as well as the viewing angle.
- Decoration — either engraved (art, your own SVG/PNG/JPG, or text) or cut-out (8 pierced patterns with adjustable density). Both plates can be decorated.
- Material — 3 / 4 / 4.5 / 5 / 6 mm, with an optional cable slot in the bottom edge.
Place artwork and text freely
Click a graphic to drop it on the plate, upload your own image, or add text — then drag it on the canvas, scale it from a corner, rotate it. 24 fonts: one single-line font for fast line engraving, plus 23 outline fonts that engrave as solid shapes. Drag something past the edge of the material and it snaps back inside; switch to a bigger device and everything scales and moves with the plate.

It tells you when it will not stand
The centre of mass is computed from the device you picked — a 580 g tablet is not a 190 g phone — and compared against the contact line at the back and the far end of the base plate. If the stand would tip forward or backward, or the plate is too thin for the weight, you get a specific warning with the number that is wrong. Errors block the export rather than letting you cut a stand that falls over.
The exported file
- 1:1 real millimetres,
mmunits — no scaling before you cut. - Red
#FF0000= cut, blue#0000FF= engrave, split into line-engrave and fill-engrave so solid artwork is filled rather than outlined. - Both plates nested on one sheet, laid out to keep the longest edge as short as possible — a phone stand fits 174 × 161 mm.
- Uploaded photos travel with the file as an embedded image for greyscale engraving.

Assembly
Cut both plates, push the three tenons on the base plate through the three mortises in the back plate until the shoulder meets the back face. Friction fit — no glue. The two ledges at the front hold the device; the cable slot in the bottom edge lets you charge while it sits.
