![[Laser cut and engrave] Laser Cut Merry Christmas Wooden Holiday Layered Art Decoration](https://storage-us.atomm.com/resource/xtool/community/attachment/xtool-community/54e57d8c-cd45-4fe5-b68f-4a0b9699d289.png?x-oss-process=image/resize,w_1200,h_900,limit_0/interlace,1/format,webp/auto-orient,1)

I designed this little Christmas decor piece to bring a warm, cozy holiday feeling into any room. It’s made from five layers of 3mm basswood, each one laser-cut with care and stacked together to create a beautiful 3D scene. The size is 220mm x 120mm, but you can resize it easily if you want something bigger or smaller.
I created two color versions, but honestly, you can paint it however you like, that’s the fun part!
The whole piece is lightweight, only 15mm thick, so you can simply place it on a shelf or stick it to the wall with double-sided adhesive. No nails, no hassle.
It makes a lovely little gift, or just a cute way to add a handmade touch to your own Christmas decorations. I hope it brings you the same joy it brought me while designing it! 🎄✨
Step 1 — Lay Out All the Layers
Place all five wooden pieces on a flat surface in front of you.
Starry sky layer
City/buildings layer
House layer
“Merry Christmas” text layer
Front frame
Step 2 — Start Layering From the Back
Begin assembling by placing the starry sky layer at the bottom.
Next, add the city layer on top of it, aligning the edges so the windows and skyline line up nicely.
Step 3 — Add the House and Text Layers
Place the house layer next you’ll see the depth start to form.
Then add the “Merry Christmas” layer on top, making sure the text sits neatly inside the frame opening.
You can glue the layers together if you want, but many people prefer to paint first and glue afterward.
Step 4 — Attach the Front Frame
Finally, place the front frame on top to complete the 3D look.
You can secure everything with wood glue, or leave it unglued if you plan to paint each layer separately.
Once finished, your piece is ready to display, it’s lightweight, so you can stand it on a shelf or attach it to the wall with double-sided adhesive.
THANKS, Enjoy your handcrafted art :)
