This is a multi-colored Stainless Steel hexagon ornament. There is the basic cut file, where I used the XTool Metal Fab to cut out the design (this could also just be cut out of wood or acrylic). Then I used the F1 Ultra to do coloring on the hexagon.
**** IMPORTANT: There are two XCS files, one is for cutting, where it is a single black layer. The file with multi-color is designed for the coloring of the sides.
In the design, there are two files, pick "Multi-Color-Hexagon_cut.xcs", this is the cut file. This is used just for cutting out the design. The entire thing is a single object with hole at the top. It can easily be re-sized. The same file can be used for cutting from Wood or Acrylic on various machines.
Pick the file "Multi-Color-Hexagon.xcs", this is the one for doing the color engraving. I used the F1 Ultra with the diode laser to color the stainless steel. Any blue diode laser should be able to do this but you might need to tweak the settings for your specific machine. I used the F1 Ultra for mine. For several of the hexagons, I used slightly different settings for the sides and top of the hexagon, this is mostly so that Xtool would not join the elements, I found it worked best if it worked on a single side of a hexagon at a time.
