Triple Heart Valentine's Brooch (ValentineWeTime)

Step 1) This project starts with a heart from the shapes list. It is then  copy and pasted 2 times to make up the triple hearts. These hearts are positioned like a pyramid on a slight angle 2 on the bottom and one above.  

Step 2) Now more hearts are needed to make up the insides of the 3 hearts, this can be done 2 ways add an outline of the object or manually adding the 3 hearts by placing the in the middle of each heart. 

Step 3) Now a sign to add a message is added. This will go on the bottom of the three hearts. A rectangle is created using the insert button and placed along the bottom of the bottom hearts. To have this have nice rounded corners the radius button is used and is set to 0.3 Now that everything is in it's place the outside parts are highlight, once this is done the combine feature is used and all the pieces are united. This leaves you with the base and 3 hearts with a border.

Step 4) Now the text is added, for this brooch the words Happy Valentine's Day is created with the text editor, once the font and sizes are chosen it is placed on the bottom. This wording is set to be engraved. Now everything is reduced in size more suitable to become a wearable brooch. once this is done the outside of the triple hearts are copy and pasted to create a backing. This backing will be painted red whereas everything else will be white. Then it is off to the laser.

Step 5) Now the laser does it's job, once everything is engraved and cut the assembly is quite easy. The white parts are glued to the red backing, once this is lined up and glued a pin is then glued to the back so it can be worn as a brooch.
