Love box - Automata Candy Storage Box

      What is the project?
The project consists of a main box with an automated system, and another box that can be used to store chocolates.

the love history:
I met a guy in an internet chat room in 2003. There were many people in this room, chatting about all sorts of things. At the time, the internet in Brazil was dial-up, working through telephone pulses, and most of the time we chatted at night because it was cheaper then.

We had a lot in common, but we lived quite far from each other, about 60km apart. I lived in one city and he in another; it was about three hours of commuting by train and bus.

After a few months of chatting, we decided to meet at a train station in downtown São Paulo, which was halfway between us. On the day of the meeting, he brought me a box of chocolates with cherry liqueur and asked me to be his girlfriend. We visited museums in the city center and strolled through many places.

Each year of our relationship, he gave me some handcrafted item he had made: paper cats, miniatures, origami paper, chocolate holders.

Today, in 2026, we will have been together for 23 years, nineteen of which we have been married.
And it all started like this, with two computers, the internet, and a meeting that turned into a love story.

This project tells a little of our story, a meeting that began on the internet, where we found love.
