      Easter is a celebration of renewal, hope, and life.

This project was designed to capture that spirit through a mechanical Easter carousel that combines motion, symbolism, and decorative storytelling.

At the heart of the mechanism, a gear system drives the rotation of the carousel platform. Attached to the side gear, a carved stone element rotates as the carousel moves, symbolizing the stone being rolled away from the tomb — a visual reference to the Jesus resurrection message of Easter.

Surrounding the carousel platform is a panoramic Easter scene featuring playful bunnies in the grass with decorated eggs, creating a cheerful spring atmosphere while the mechanism turns.

The structure uses layered laser-cut parts that assemble easily, making it suitable for both decoration and educational mechanical design projects.

The combination of moving gears, Easter symbolism, and handcrafted details creates a unique piece that celebrates both creativity and faith.

🔩 Assembly Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare the Parts

Laser cut all parts from the provided files and lightly sand the edges if needed.

Step 2 – Assemble the Base Mechanism

Install the central gear onto the base plate using the provided axle holes.

Make sure the gear spins freely.

Step 3 – Install Side Gears

Attach the two smaller gears on both sides of the main gear. These gears drive the decorative elements.

Step 4 – Insert the Central Axis

Install the central axis that will support the rotating carousel platform.

Step 5 – Assemble the Carousel Platform

Attach the circular platform to the central gear system.

Ensure the platform rotates smoothly.

Step 6 – Install the Easter Panels

Attach the decorative Easter egg and bunny panels around the carousel structure.

These form the panoramic Easter scene.

Step 7 – Attach the Resurrection Stone

Mount the carved stone element to the side gear mechanism.

As the gear rotates, the stone will move symbolically representing the stone rolling away.

Step 8 – Final Assembly

Attach the top ring and complete the carousel structure.

Test the mechanism to ensure smooth rotation of all gears and moving parts.
