Howdy xToolers! Welcome to the latest Weekly Update. Your feedback is much appreciated at all times. Let’s jump into the WU this time!
Q&A
1. [D1 Pro] Can I turn down or turn off the alarm for the limit switches?
- Currently, you can only turn on/off the limit switch by clicking the slider on this page:

The limit switch can protect the laser module, as it helps the module to home and can prevent the module from hitting the rails.
That is also why we suggest you turn on the switch.
- Why is the limit switch alarm ringing?
① A common reason is that the laser module has moved over the position limit. If so, you’ll get a error prompt and you can adjust the position of the material and resume the process.
② The other possible reason is that the limit piece is not installed correctly, so please make sure that the buckle is in the right place:
If you’re using a D1 Pro 20w, the buckle should be installed this way:
If you’re using a D1 Pro 5w/10w, the buckle should be installed this way:
There is no limit switch on D1, so make sure you use the frame function to confirm the processing area.
2. Why can’t I weld or combine the letters from certain fonts?
– Some fonts have the welding effect themselves. For fonts that do not support this function, you can refer to these articles to achieve the outcome: How to Use Welded Text on XCS V1.0?
We are working on the welding function, and I’ll keep you posted if there are any updates.
3. After the software update, when I use the Extract function on an image, there are jagged edges and the extracted image is fuzzy. How to solve this?
– Thank you for bringing this to our attention! The issue has been solved in XCS V1.0.19, and you can download it on www.xtool.com
4. [M1] does not refresh the image. What could be the reason and how to fix this?
– Possible cause 1: xTool M1 is disconnected from XCS.
Solution: Check the connection and connect your M1 to XCS again.
Possible cause 2: The camera is in poor contact with the main control board.
Solution: Remove the protective cover of the main control board. And then unplug and replug the connection cable of the camera, as shown in the following picture.
For instructions about removing the protective cover, see “How do I remove the protective cover of the main control board?“

If the above solutions do not solve your problems, please comment and let us know, so that we can provide support! Also, details about the problem help us target and fix them faster.
