I. Why Are We Launching Crowdfunding?
In the world of laser crafting, a great project often requires more than just precise cutting files—it also needs detailed instructions, specialized components, and significant upfront production investment.
We are launching crowdfunding to break down the barrier between "creative idea" and "mass production":
- Connect Creators with Supporters: Great designs shouldn't go it alone. Through the power of community, we can collectively share the upfront production costs.
- Lower the Barrier to Making: Through a "fund first, produce later" model, we help talented designers secure startup funding, while giving supporters the opportunity to purchase exclusive items at early-bird prices that offer exceptional value.
II. How It Works: Detailed Rules and Mechanics
Our crowdfunding mechanism is straightforward and revolves around the following core steps:
1. Pledge Tier
Each crowdfunding campaign will offer different support tiers. Please read the "What's Included" section for each tier carefully to confirm whether you are selecting Digital Files or Hardware Kits.
2. Pledge
Select your preferred tier and complete your payment. Your funds will be held securely in escrow on the platform.
3. Campaign Goal
Each campaign has a clearly defined funding target and campaign period:
- Campaign Successful: If the funding goal is met or exceeded within the allotted time, the campaign succeeds and moves into production.
- Campaign Unsuccessful: If the funding goal is not reached by the deadline, the campaign closes.
III. How Do We Protect Backers?
To give first-time crowdfunding participants complete peace of mind, the platform offers comprehensive protections:
- Support Creators: Your pledge funds are designated exclusively for that creator's project — covering R&D and raw material procurement — ensuring that ideas truly come to life.
- 100% Refundable: If a crowdfunding campaign does not reach its funding goal, the system will automatically issue a full 100% refund to your original payment method after the campaign ends, with no fees of any kind.
- Regular Updates: Once a campaign succeeds, the project enters the production and shipping phase (note: items are not shipped from existing stock). We will require and assist creators in providing regular project updates, so you can return to the campaign page at any time to track the latest production and logistics progress.
IV. How Can Creators Get Involved?
If you are a maker or designer with an outstanding creation, we welcome you to start your making journey on Atomm!
- Submit an Application: Click [Start Now] and submit your product design files, physical prototype photos, estimated production costs, and your desired funding goal.
- Platform Review: To maintain a healthy community ecosystem, the official team will conduct a comprehensive evaluation within 5 business days, assessing the project's feasibility, copyright compliance, and supply chain risks.
- Go Live: Once approved, you can configure your pledge tiers and officially launch your campaign to the entire community — and attract your first wave of early supporters!
