Chose deign type , wood preferences and colors beforehand ,i typically will pant the wood sheet first with white primer but it's up to you , cut out all pieces carefully not to lose any ,separate cut out depending on color , group same color pieces together paint and assemble in desired color and style, then wait till they are dry and assemble with light dots of super glue.
