Geometry gives a laser exactly what it is good at: straight cuts, repeatable angles and tight tolerances. The style shows up in three main forms. Low-poly portraits break an animal or face into triangles that read as a whole from a distance. Tessellated panels repeat hexagons, chevrons or Islamic-style lattice across a surface. Structural work uses the angles for a purpose, as in hexagon shelving, faceted lamps and interlocking planters. Because everything is edges and vertices, alignment matters more than in organic designs, and material thickness has to match the joint width exactly.
