basswood grid to fit inside F1

For this project I used a piece of 3mm pine plywood from my local hardware store. 

On the first few tries I had some issues with cutting the wood without setting off the fire alert.

To solve this I used laser protective glasses so I could keep the F1cover up for better air flow. Since that wasn't quite enough (and also just to be safe) I held a fan right next to the open machine to take care of the heat and possible flames. This worked perfectly.

As for the cutting settings, I lowered the power and increased the speed of the laser. I did 4 passes and the cut was almost perfect, a fifth pass at a lower power setting could've probably helped pop the piece right off but it wasn't difficult to remove with the 4 passes, and I used a normal cutter to clean some of the lines.

Although the plywood base in the photo is a just about one mm smaller than the hole in the machine, I adjusted the size in the file so that it would be more exact. I didn't make another cut, my shape for the cut was 107.5 and I changed it to 107.8mm in the project file
