The .xcs file is included with the settings I use with a typical cutting board. I turned the design 90 degrees to the left so line up with the way I had to place the cutting board in the live area of the unit. You can rotate and resize the design to your cutting board size and position. 

The surface can prepared by lightly sanding, if needed, before engraving. Be sure to clean with a lightly moistened towel to remove the wood dust and let dry completely. Then engrave. I removed any burn shadow marks by lightly sanding after engraving. Then remove the wood dust. Lastly, I coated with a food safe cutting board oil.
