I needed a new place to store my caps without them taking up too much space while also having them on display and easy to access so I made these two hook designs that I think turned out quite well. The first design is the one I used most of but it may not be as useful of everyone. It is designed to attach to some metal shelf brackets that were already on my wall and simply slots into place without any screws or glue. For anybody that doesn't have these brackets on their wall I have also made a version that can be mounted using screws to any wall or furniture.
The design pictured at the top is designed specifically to fit into the slots in the white metal shelving brackets that I have.
This design will not work for everybody so the other design in the file has an extra backplate with holes for screws so that these hooks can be mounted to almost any surface.
This design will work with any 3mm material so you can choose whatever best matches your rooms ascetic.
I used black MDF because it is inexpensive and faster to cut than black acrylic.
Once you have chosen your design and materiel it is time to cut out your hooks.
This file has three layers, the purple one should always be set to ignore and either the red or black can be set to output depending on which style of hooks you are making.
Once cut all parts should simply slot together but I would recommend adding a little glue to the joins for additional strength and stability.
