Instruction

Step1: Prep Leather

I used a 3-4 oz veg-tan leather, I pre-oiled my leather with 2 coats of neatsfoots oil, then used my airbrush to apply a coat of medium brown dye. Once dry you are ready to put in your machine.

Step2: Stitching

First take your thread and cut a piece about 25" long.

Then thread both ends with your needles.

I like to start at the bottom end. Loop the last hole across twice as shown in the photo.

Step3: Baseball Stitch

Now take your top needle and insert it in between the leather edge and run it downward into the next hole, so you will be going at a angle.

Then take your bottom needle and insert it into in between going up to the next hole. Give it a tight little snug and repeat the stitching all the way up.

  • Note, make sure you repeat the stitch the exact same way each and every time or your stitch will come out crooked.

When you get to the top, do a double stitch across as you did on the bottom and burn off your tips.

Step4: Repeat other side

Now using the lighter in between, do the exact same stitch going up while holding the lighter inside. Make sure you do a snug stitch, don't pull too tight.

After you are done you can apply a thin coat of conditoner and you are ready to use. Enjoy.
