Step1: Cut the blank, i used speed 5mm/s at 80% power

Step2: Place the split ring

At the end of the keychain blank with the curved slot place the split ring and fold around the ring to line up the holes as shown

Any fasteners you use you will need some type of setting tool as shown in the images. I like to use saddle rivets as shown in the last image as they are exceptionally strong. You can use leather poppers if you wish to be able to place on and remove from belts easily like the ones in image 3

  1. Fold over the other half of the keychain and line up the holes. 
  2. There should now be a split ring with a short fold then the large loop folded over on top to line up 3 holes. Push the rivet through and place the washer that comes with it over the end.
  3. With the setting tool, there is a hole, place this over the rivet end and hammer it to the leather. With pliers or any cutters, trim the rivet to about 2mm above the rivet, with other fasteners they are all a set size.
  4. Next with the setting tool there is a domed side, place this onto the rivet and hammer to shape.
