This leather pouch is very simple to make. Requires little material and hardware. Prefect for those bar pendants. Final project is about 3" x 2"
To start you will need a piece of leather to place in the machine. I used 4 ½" x 4 ½".
Now that your pieces are cut out, lets give them a couple of coats of leather oil.
Let those soak up and dry abit.
Now lets add the sam brown to the hole for the front section.
I used a extra small sam brown from Tandy Leather.
Now using a saddle stitch, lets stitch up he edge all the way around.
After you have finished the stitch, you are basically done. Or you can dress it up a bit.
For this example lets keep going.
I'm going to continue by using a 00 edge beveler and get rid of the corners.
After you have beveled your edges, use a piece of medium sandpaper and sand the edges to be even as much as possible.
Now I'm using Tokonole for burnishing my edges that are doubled up, or around the stitch line. After that you can use a edge coat and apply it to your burnished edges.
And last but not least, I applied a thin coat of Smiths Leather Balm for protection, but you can use any conditioner you have.
