First, import the desired shape, such as the monstera leaf. Then, set everything to cut and finally add a keychain hole.

Now you want to duplicate it 3 times, one for each side and then one that will be the middle the middle one needs to made of basswood so you can paint it then the outer ones will be made out of walnut. 

For the materials, you will need basswood and another type of wood. For my project, I used basswood for the middle and walnut for the outer layer.

Now it's time to laser. Make sure to turn the output off when using different woods, as you don't want to cut all three layers at once. These are the settings for an S1 40-watt laser. Finally, don't forget to wear your laser safety glasses. Also, there are two canvases, one for the outside and one for the middle.

For this, I painted the middle blank layer, and then I glued the outer layers onto it. The whole process is quite easy and will produce a fantastic result.

Good news, you're done with your keychain, and you can even make others with different shapes and colors.
