For a long time, I thought a home was a place. Four walls, a key, a name on the doorbell. A place to return to when the day gets too hard. But I often felt lost, even in the most familiar places. As if I were always missing something I couldn't name.

Then you came into my life. Quietly, without grand gestures, without promises. And suddenly something changed. Not the world—but me. With you, I didn't have to arrive, I just was.

It wasn't a single moment, but many small ones. The way you listened to me without interrupting. The way you held my hand when I couldn't find the words. How you stayed, even when I was difficult, closed off, or tired of life. With you, I was allowed to be myself without having to explain myself.

Over time, I noticed that my body relaxes when I'm with you. My thoughts become quieter, my breathing calmer. As if something inside me understood that there was no longer any reason to be on guard. You took nothing from me, demanded nothing—and yet gave me everything: security.

A home is not a place without conflict. We had our share of it too. Days when we didn't understand each other, when there was silence between us.
