Information
This round wall art piece is designed as a layered coffee illustration viewed from above. A blue outer frame surrounds a stylized cup consisting of multiple layers: dark coffee, beige foam with subtle bubbles, and a white cup outline. The text “My Place to Be” at the top completes the design, making it a warm and personal decoration for kitchens, coffee corners, or living spaces. The layered construction adds depth and a handcrafted look.
Instruction
Step1: Laser Cut All Parts
Laser cut all parts of the design.
Use 9 mm material for the back plate and frame, and 3 mm material for the cup layers and lettering.
Make sure to switch between the different worksheets in the file as shown in the images.
Step2: Paint the Cup Layers
Paint the individual cup layers as shown in the images:
dark color for the coffee
beige tones for the foam
white for the cup outline
Let all parts dry completely.
Step3: Assemble the Cup Layers
Glue the painted cup layers together in the correct order to create the layered coffee effect.
Step4: Glue the Frame to the Base Plate
Glue the blue frame onto the round base plate and let it set.
Step5: Paint the Frame
Paint the frame in blue or your desired color and allow it to dry.
Step6: Attach the Cup to the Base
Glue the assembled coffee cup onto the base plate inside the frame.
Step7: Paint the Lettering
Paint the “My Place to Be” lettering as desired and let it dry.
Step8: Attach the Lettering
Glue the painted letters onto the base plate in their designated position.
Step9: Optional: Create a Hanging Recess
If you want to hang the artwork on a wall, place the finished piece back into the laser face down.
Engrave a shallow recess at the desired position using my preset settings.
This creates a recessed hole that allows the artwork to hang securely on a nail.
