Goal of the Game: Block your opponent or leave him only 2 pawns
The game takes place on the 24 points of the board (the 12 corners of the squares and the 12 intersections they form with the perpendicular lines).
The goal is to ensure that the opposing player has only two pawns on the board or that it is impossible for him to make any moves because his pieces are blocked. To do this, the immediate goal is to try to make Moulins <font size="4" face="ArialMT, sans-serif">(three pawns in a row) with one's own pawns, which gives the right to capture one of the opponent's pawns.

The game has two very different phases. The game starts with a pawn placement phase, followed by the movement phase.
1st Phase:
The game starts with the table empty.
In the first phase, the players take turns placing their nine pawns on any free point on the board. During this phase, it is forbidden to move the pawns already placed on the board.
2nd Phase:
Once the pawns are placed, we will start the second phase.
Each player in turn moves one of his pieces to an adjacent point (next to it) free, through the line that connects the point of origin and the point of destination.
During both phases of the game, if the incorporated or moved pawn completes a " mill ", i.e. a row of three pawns of the same color located on the three points of the same line, an enemy pawn is taken out of the game. Unless there are no more pawns left to take, a player cannot hit any pawns that are part of an enemy mill. Once out of the game, a pawn can no longer enter the game. As soon as a player has only three pawns left on the board, he can move his pawns freely to any point on the board (the rule of adjacent points no longer applies).
End of the Game
A player wins the game in one of two cases:
One of the players has made 7 moves and therefore his opponent has only two pawns and can no longer form mills.
One of the players can no longer perform a move because all of their pawns are blocked.
The game is tied when neither player manages to win.
