Information

      Cutting boards have a reputation.
They’re often seen as the place for meat — heavy, serious, and a bit intimidating. But cooking isn’t just about steaks and knives. It’s about joy, creativity, and the simple pleasure of chopping vegetables while something good is simmering on the stove.

“Corn to Be Wild” was created as a small reminder that plant-based cooking deserves just as much love, humor, and personality.
This engraving celebrates vegetables, home cooking, and the fact that a cutting board can make you smile before you even start cooking.

To keep things flexible, I’ve included several additional SVG designs, so you can choose the mood that fits your kitchen best.

Instruction

1

Step1: Pick your vibe 🌽

Choose the “Corn to Be Wild” design or one of the included vegetarian-themed SVGs.
Each design brings a slightly different mood — from playful to subtle — but all of them celebrate plant-based cooking.

2

Step2: Get the board ready

  • Import the SVG into your laser software.
  • Adjust the size to fit your board nicely. (A good starting point is 40–80 mm, depending on the board.)
  • Leave some breathing room at the edges — the design should feel relaxed, not cramped.
3

Step3: Position with care

  • Place the cutting board flat on the laser bed
  • Make sure it lies stable and doesn’t rock.
  • Use camera preview or visual alignment to place the design exactly where it feels right.
4

Step4: Dial in the laser 🔥

  • Every board is different, so start gently.
  • Typical diode laser settings for hardwood above.
  • A small test engraving is always worth it.
5

Step5: Engrave and enjoy the moment

  • Focus the laser.
  • Take a last look at the alignment.
  • Start engraving and let the machine do its thing.

Watching the design appear in the wood is half the fun.

6

Step6: Clean & finish ✨

Brush away residue.

Optional: apply a thin layer of food-safe oil to deepen the contrast and protect the wood.
