Scenic farm setting etched into a wooden or bamboo cutting board. "Home, where life food and life are shared" engraved as well. I created this using a low cost bamboo cutting board from the big box store. Would be beautiful on nice cutting board.
This was a design inspired by the holidays, but staying away from traditional holiday themes to allow for year round use. I grew up in the foothills of Northeast Georgia, and wanted a scene that reminded me of my roots. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. This could easily be engraved on a cutting board, serving tray, or decorative piece. The SVG should easily scale.
Ensure you are starting with a clean cutting board. I use them directly from the package without applying anything to the surface.
Using the position marking with the S1 set the working height and then the working area.
Align the design with the working area.
You can scale the size of the design as needed.
Once everything is confirmed close the lid and send the design to the laser.
A helpful tip I always follow: If I'm using a new material and only have one of them so I can't run a test grid. I will burn my logo on the back side of the piece about 1 inch square using the setting I think will work. This gives me a small test that is not too bad if it's not correct. One other tip is that it's always better to guess low and run the design again than to start too high and ruin a piece.
