2026 is the year of the horse! To celebrate, I made this horse themed calendar. Every 2 months, a new design gets revealed as you update the calendar. It will bring you new joy throughout the year as you see the new horse design welcoming you into the next 2 months.
The calendar is layered, and gets changed every 2 months. Just move the old month board to the back, and the new months board will get pushed to the front. The colorful pictures are made of stickers, but can also be printed directly on the wood with the M1 Ultra inkjet as well. I chose to make them stickers for more vibrant and bright colors on a white background. You can print, engrave, paint or make them into stickers as well.
The stand/holder is made from 3mm (1/8 inch) thick wood. You will need to adjust the slots and the distance between the slots for different wood thicknesses. Please do not share this file outside of the xTool Atomm community.
Note: If you opened the XCS file that comes with this tutorial, all settings are already set-up for use with the M1 Ultra 10W.
Alternatively, you can also use the inkjet module (or home printer) to print and cut them out as stickers. I chose this method for brighter colors.
If your machine has been calibrated correctly, you should be able to laser cut the designs out without the need to manually frame.
You can skip steps 1-3 if you chose the sticker route, then proceed to just engrave and cut the wood pieces out.
All done! Enjoy your new Laser Cut Wooden 2026 Desk Calendar with Cute Horse Pony and Pagoda Design.
