Origami elephant, but with a metal twist! This is a fun and practical elephant phone stand. I experimented with many different crease patterns, and this version is designed to be much easier to fold.
Cut according to the cutting file. You can choose a suitable material yourself. My experience is that aluminum tends to be softer and may break easily when bent, so a harder metal might be a better choice (if you choose other materials, please test the machining parameters first). The material may warp due to heat during cutting, so use clamps or weights to secure the metal sheet.
After machining, remove the cut pattern from the sheet. Gently bending the metal sheet can help you remove it more easily. For the thin metal strips in the crease areas, you can use pointed-nose pliers.
Fold along the creases. You can flexibly adjust the angles—enjoy the process!
