Step1: Cat & Christmas Tree 3D Inner Engraving

Hi guys, this is a video of the processing process and the finished project. It's really cool, isn't it? 😉

Next, I will teach you step by step how to create from AImake to actual production 😄

If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comment!

Step2: About The K9 Glass

First, selecting the right material is a must! Some seemingly highly transparent crystal glass cannot actually be used for internal engraving.

For glass internal engraving, please choose K9 glass‼️

Step3: Preparations before processing

Steps:

  1. Replace the inner engraving lens
  2. Install the riser to facilitate subsequent Inner Engraving Work Area Calibration and material placement.
  3. Prepare 3D project files: STL, OBJ, AMF, 3MF, GLB, PLY
The lens installation process will take some time. Please install carefully.

If you don't have 3D modeling software and have never used any, then AImake can now help you generate 3D models! Click here for details ⬇️

I generated the cat and the Christmas tree separately.
For the cat, I used text to generate a 3D model, while for the Christmas tree, I provided a 2D reference image. You can also refer to my Prompt below ⬇️
Prompt of the tree:
A beautiful Christmas tree with some gifts underneath, and some stars and snowflakes floating in the air.

Note: It should be clearly stated that even if you use the same images and prompts as me, AImake may not generate completely identical models. This is the basic setting for all AIs.

Step6: Testing

[How To] Cat & Christmas Tree 3D Inner Engraving instruction: step 6 - Testing
Preview
Before starting a 3D inner engraving project, we need to test as much as possible. We can try different files on one piece of K9 glass. Once we get good results, use a clean piece of material for the formal processing.

Here, because the texture of the Christmas tree is too complex, I scaled it down and tried to carve a test version. Because scaling down your model can usually significantly reduce processing time, but at the same time, you will lose a lot of details. However, this is completely sufficient for testing!
Once the details are confirmed to be correct, we can start the formal processing!

Next, everything is simple. You just need to press the 'xTool' button on the controller, leave it to the machine, and wait for a quite long time. Hah!

Because the details are too rich, I carved the kitten and the Christmas tree separately, and their processing times were 1 hour and 5.5 hours respectively 😹

I really recommend that everyone try it when they have plenty of time; otherwise, you might get tied to the machine 😂

But for a better display effect and a finished product that satisfies myself, time is not a problem! Right?

Step8: Success!

I really like the hair details effect of this cat!

The wait was indeed worth it, right?

Kindly follow the steps and choose the right materials, and your success rate will reach 95%!

The official xTool materials are recommended!
