Laser Cut Wooden Turkey Candle Holder for Thanksgiving Decor

I had already modified this beautiful file to fit 4.3mm (¼") plywood from big box store.  With another holiday coming around, I played with a few of the cutouts and did a freehand modification.  Upload the file and mod how you like.  Do not use tab cuts on the front 5 pieces.  For some reason you will end up with too many tabs at the delicate connection points and they may break.  Even cutting the tabs with a razor blade will not work as well as just cutting them singular if you need to.   

Lay out your pieces and this would be the point to paint or stain.  **These joints are loose on purpose and wood glue is required** I made this for my daughter to paint so I left it unfinished.  I'd assemble the front 5 chest pieces first.  Put glue on each tab and insert bottom/top; one at a time.  Top center piece cutout is forward facing.  Wood glue holds quickly so be slightly patient and be aware the turkey will tip forward.  Use an unused piece to balance it for 5 minutes and grab a snack.  Now put the rear piece on.  Pay attention to the top circle.  The cutout should be forward facing and this rear feather should be directly at 6 o'clock.   Next add the wide feathers left and right (they come after the 5 chest feathers).   Add the final feathers and then glue the head and feet.   The head I made 2 copies of so you may want to glue them together in the beginning if you don't want any movement when inserting.  

Your final product should look like this.  Add a LED candle and you are done !
