This 6 layered piece is a great way to celebrate Christmas. I cut this with MDF wood and plywood/basswood, and paper to see how it would look on different materials. I loved the way each provided me with a different result.
Included in this download are two files: 1. An ornament version with an eye hole and 2. A stand-up version. Please keep in mind, there are small elements that if decreased in size too much, will be lost.
I love the depth this piece created. At a recent craft fair, someone told me they were so excited to purchase it as it was the "perfect start to the Christmas season."

Resize accordingly for your use. Note: there are small aspects like the camels that if sized too small, may charr the wood and break off.
Feel free to paint or stain the layers in any way you desire. If you want yours to look like the cover image, stain as follows:
Bottom: stained
Second from bottom: not stained
Third from bottom: stained
Fourth from bottom: not stained
Fifth from bottom: Holy family (stained)
Top layer: Outline stained and star left unstained.
Glue the layers together. I used titebond translucent glue. I recommend gluing one layer at a time and using clamps.
