I love making Kustom Keepsakes!! https://www.youtube.com/@kustomkarve
I made this for a good friend of mine.
A friend wanted a kustom Bluey Sign with his daughter's name on it for Christmas and he said I had full control, so I spent way too much time coming up with the idea! I wanted to print, laser, and cut with this design.
1. Prep the Surface
• Apply XTool Wood Printing Fixative Spray or InkAid to enhance color vibrancy.
• Follow the application instructions provided on the product label.
2. Print the Design
• In Mode - Select the “Multi-Module Processing."
• Use the Ink Module to print directly onto the wood.
• Important: Do not remove the item after printing.
3. Switch to Laser Engraver
• With the printed item still in place, switch to the Laser Module.
• Refer to the instructional video for guidance on module switching.
4. Repeat for Additional Items
• For each new item, repeat Steps 2 and 3.
• Return to Step 2 after completing the laser process.

1. Switch to Laser Engrave
• Carefully switch to the Laser Engraver while keeping your printed items in place.
• Do not move or adjust the printed piece during this transition.
2. Prepare Your Files
• Ensure you have two files ready:
• A Printed File (used earlier)
• A Cutout File (used for lasering)
3. Adjust Mode Settings
• In the Mode section, select “Multi-Module Processing."
• This will change cut lines from “Not Supported” to “Cut.”
4. Review Each Layer
• Double-check your cutout file layers to avoid accidental engraving.
• You should only use the CUT layer during the laser process—no engraving over the printed design.
Pro Tips
• If your cut lines don’t update, recheck the mode setting and file format.
• Label your layers clearly (e.g., “Cut Only”) to prevent confusion during setup.
• Consider locking the printed layer in your design software to avoid accidental edits.
1. Set to Fine-Cut and add your Fine-Point Blade.
• In material settings, switch to Holographic Self-Adhesive Vinyl and Fine-Point Blade.
2. Cut the Letters
• Use a Fine Point Blade on a cutting mat to cut out your vinyl letters.
3. Weed the Vinyl
• Carefully weed away excess vinyl, leaving only the desired letters on the backing.
4. Apply Transfer Tape
• Place transfer tape over the weeded vinyl.
• Smooth it down to ensure full contact with the vinyl.
5. Transfer to Your Sign
• Position the vinyl on your sign and burnish (press firmly) to ensure crisp adhesion.
• Slowly peel away the transfer tape, leaving the vinyl letters in place.
1. Arrange Your Elements
• On your 24" x 24" sign board, thoughtfully arrange the vinyl letters, printed pieces, and quote.
• Take time to balance spacing and alignment for a visually pleasing layout.
2. Secure the Pieces
• Once satisfied with placement, glue down all printed components and decorative elements.
• Allow glue to dry fully before proceeding to the next step.
3. Seal Vinyl Surfaces
• Use a clear coat pen or clear spray sealant to gently go over the vinyl lettering.
• This helps lock in adhesion and adds a protective layer.
4. Protect the Entire Sign (Optional)
• For added durability and finish, apply a gloss or matte protective spray over the entire sign.
• Choose your finish based on the desired final look—gloss for shine, matte for subtle elegance.
