Step1: Open the file and setup the layers
- Open the design file on XCS
- Using the text feature, type the custom message in the font of your choosing and adjust the font size.

Step2: select the power levels
- Set the outer design to Cut and the custom text to Engrave.
- Set the cutting and engraving parameters based on your laser power and the outcome of a material test.
- Cut the layers

Step3: paint and finish
- Paint with color combination of your choosing.
- Align and glue the layers to complete the project
