Name Tracing Mini Board

Open the Blank Template in XCS. Insert a text box, and type in, “Hello my name is” or something similar at the top. I decided to resize the template to be less wide here as well.

Using the font “Print Dashed,” type out the first and last name in a new text box. Select the template box, and all texts, and center align everything. Using the layers functionality, select the green dot on the bottom left and set your settings for engrave. Select the black dot next, and set the settings for cut.

You will most likely need to download the font Print Dashed and install it on your computer.

Select everything and group it. Reflect everything horizontally, so that the image is mirrored. We want to engrave the back of the acrylic.

I had some clear scrap acrylic that no longer had a protective mask on it. So I added a paper masking to the scrap piece and placed the design on top of the useable area. Go ahead and process it with the laser now.

Remove the piece from the laser, and peel away all the masking. The name tracing piece is now done and is also reusable using dry erase markers.
