Evil Space Overlord with Starships Glass Engraving

      I wanted to test the visual impact of a full-wrap laser engraving on a glass bottle, using the bottle’s entire printable area rather than a small front-facing graphic. The final design wraps around a 205 mm circumference with a 170 mm engraving height, creating a continuous scene that reveals more detail as the bottle turns.

For the artwork, I chose a dark sci-fi theme centered on an original armored space overlord—intentionally “Vader-ish” in mood, but developed as its own character—surrounded by an orbital battle station, fighter craft, and industrial mechanical elements. I kept the artwork monochrome and high-contrast so it would translate cleanly to frosted glass, with bold shapes and simplified detail intended to remain legible after engraving.

This project was primarily an experiment in how a large-format, all-around engraving would perform on curved glass. I’m pleased with the result: the wrap gives the bottle a much more immersive, dimensional feel than a conventional single-sided engraving, and the design changes as you rotate it.
