Information

A fairly complex project that will show the strength of magnets

The only extra items are Wood Glue, thin fishing line & 6 Neodymium 20mm x 10mm x 1.5mm magnets

Instruction

1

Step1

Cut out all the piece's then glue the top part that contains the 3 magnets together, when dry centre on the top of the face and glue

Repeat for the piece's that fasten to the bottom of the face, but this time you will need to put approx 30cm of the fishing line so that it is secured and hangs below the face, this will be trimmed when complete, there is a tiny hole that the line needs to be thread through (this will be used to secure the face to the base so that the magnets do not pull it together)

2

Step2

Assemble the frame, feeding the fishing line into the length of material that is 15 x 140mm (there is a very small hole to feed it through).

Enclose the last 3 magnets into the casing ensuring that the magnets when placed over the face attract and not repel

3

Step3

Get 3 or 4 piece's of scrap material and place between the magnets, this will allow you to tie the line to the base at the correct distance

Remove the scrap material and the face should appear to float, if all is good secure the 15 x 140 mm piece of material to the base
