Information

The image of the dog was generated by AI. He looks fantastic when engraved on a prepared slate using IR on the XTool F2

I suggest that, for the best results, yopu prepare your slate by spraying with a clear laquer or black spray paint before engraving. This makes the image whiter than natural slate in my limited experience. IR is also brighter than diode although diode works well too.

My settings on the F2 were: Dot Duration 300, power 60 and DPI 300. I used Jarvis bitmap Mode and bi-directional engraving mode
