The Xtool .xcs file gives the mask for cutting leather.

To assemble the rivets and the snap, small special tools are needed to crimp them on the leather. In general it is enough to buy a cheap kit on the internet (punch + die).

To treat the edge of the leather and give it a smooth appearance, you need to sand it with paper and finish with 400 grit, then apply "Gum of ADRAGANTE" and smooth with a cloth or a wooden burnisher. This technique is described on Youtube.

Il faudra poncer la tranche des pièces de cuir avec du papier de verre fin pour éliminer le noir suite à la découpe laser. Il faudra bien nettoyer le cuir avec une huile spéciale SAPO, pied de bœuf, car les brulures du cuir avec le laser génèrent des cendres noires qui salissent le cuir.

Pour assembler les rivets et le bouton pression, des petits outillages spéciaux sont nécessaires pour les sertir sur le cuir. En général il suffit d'acheter un kit peu cher sur internet (poinçon + matrice).

Pour traiter la tranche du cuir et lui donner un aspect lisse, il faut le poncer avec du papier de verre et terminer avec du grain 400. Ensuite passer du produit "Gomme d'ADRAGANTE" et lisser avec un chiffon ou un brunissoir en bois. Cette technique est décrite sur Youtube.

To cut the label, you can also use the XToolM1 machine with its "cutter" function! It is preferable to use a thick paper, so as not to crease the label when inserting it in the leather case.

I have to admit that I used the scissors for a single paper label, and even if the cut is not precise, the edges will be hidden once inserted in the leather case.

To make it easier to insert the label into the leather case, use eyebrow tweezers.
