Information

      I made this as an ornamental wood and acrylic piece.  If you decide to make bottom offset layer out of mirror acrylic be sure to reflect image horizontally and cut mirror from backside and lifted off honeycomb/slats to avoid flashback.  The round center was to be able to fit a rhinestone in the middle of top layer if desired.  If you decide to scale the image remember to group them together and adjust size as a group to keep the offset ratio correct.

Step1

The wood piece was made out of 1/8" sapele (bottom layer) and 1/8" hickory (top layer)

The glitter piece was made out of 1/8" pink glitter acrylic (bottom layer) and 1/16" white acrylic (top layer)

The mirror piece was made out of 1/8" silver mirror (bottom layer) and 1/16" white acrylic (top layer.

For wood I always mask the front facing side when cutting to avoid burn marks. I cut it flat on the honeycomb without risers. The top piece is cut with 3m on the back of it. I always cut 3M facing up so the masked side of wood is facing down on honeycomb and increase power by 5 to account for the 3M. Always reflect the image when cutting with 3M on the back facing up to make sure it aligns with the bottom piece after cutting.

For all mirror and cast acrylic I cut using risers to lift off the honeycomb to avoid any flashback. 3M used on the back of top layer for adhesion. Follow same process as the wood except for the mirror acrylic. Always cut and engrave mirror from the back side and lift off honeycomb (flashback).
