Information

      I recently bought my mother a California tricycle because she was having problems mounting her bike.  Now that it is Spring, my father is assembling it, and she is excited to ride it.  This is why I'm making a bicycle/ tricycle planter to surprise her with on Mother's Day.

*redid file for 3mm and assembled 2 more bikes-received some comments that things didn't fit.  Hope this helps.  You will need clamps to assemble this properly.

Step1: Take frame, spacers and seat and Assemble

*****Measure your wood thickness !**** I recently got an entire box that was 2.8mm, so I made these cuts smaller than 3mm. *****

Glue the front portion of the frame from the seat forward and then add the spacers, followed by the seat. Clamp front frame. Add customized seat license plate / name tag.

Step2: Flip Over and Glue and Clamp Front Fork

Use a brush to apply a thin, even coat. With clamps, this should hold in 10 to 15 minutes.

Step3: Pedals and Chain Guard

Preview

Glue chain guard and apply to frame. Align by eye and add pedals. I've added a notch on this step to aid with assembly. Insert “U” bracket through the chain guard and frame and attach pedals.

Step4: Glue Front and Rear Tires

Preview

Add optional heart and front basket if you wish. Let the glue dry overnight before adding a plant. If you want a larger plant, simply edit the nodes and drag the rear longer OR make the rear tires smaller, level to the frame. Enjoy and post your finished projects.
