Information

      I needed a storage solution for slim items like coasters and bottle openers.  This shelf works with my original stackable bins.  There are two sizes to choose from in this one file.  4 inch and 5 inch shelves.

This modular organizer is designed to slide directly between or alongside the stackable bins, creating clean vertical storage where bins alone aren’t ideal. While the bins handle bulk items, this organizer manages flat or upright items—such as filters, coasters, notebooks, or inserts—keeping everything visible and easy to access.

Assembly Instructions

Modular Laser-Cut Organizer

What’s Included

(1) Bottom panel (finger joints on both long edges)

(2) Side panels (vertical slot pattern)

(1) Back panel

Tools Needed

Flat work surface

Wood glue (optional)

Small square or right-angle block

Light mallet or firm hand pressure

Step 1: Identify the Panels

Bottom panel: flat piece with finger joints on both sides

Side panels: tall pieces with vertical rectangular slots

Back panel: flat rectangular piece with finger joints on both sides

Lay all parts flat before starting.

Step 2: Attach Bottom to First Side

Stand one side panel upright

Slide the bottom panel into the finger joints at the base of the side panel

Press firmly until fully seated

Tip: The slots should face inward.

Step 3: Install the Back Panel

Align the back panel with the exposed finger joints on the bottom panel

Press downward until the back panel is fully seated

Keep the back panel square to the base

Step 4: Attach Second Side Panel

Align the second side panel with:

The bottom panel finger joints

The back panel finger joints

Press evenly until all joints seat fully

Use a square to ensure everything is aligned.

Step 5: Insert Dividers (Optional)

Slide divider panels into the vertical slots

Adjust spacing as needed

Dividers can be removed or repositioned at any time

Step 6: Final Check

Ensure all joints are fully seated

Confirm the organizer sits flat on the surface

If using glue, allow to dry for 15–30 minutes before use

Glue or No Glue?

No glue: friction fit is sufficient for light-duty use

With glue: recommended for permanent installations or heavier items

Apply glue lightly to finger joints before assembly.
