Halloween Ghost and Spooky Forest Tabletop Display

Before You Begin

Add your desired wording to the blank front plaque before cutting or engraving. Cut the base, scenic layers, ghost, and plaque from your chosen material.

Paint, stain, or seal the pieces before assembly so the small details remain easy to reach. Measure the actual thickness of your material, since plywood can vary and may affect the slot fit.

Assembly

1. Separate the base, background scenery, ghost layer, front scenery, and personalized plaque.
2. Test-fit every tab into its matching slot before applying glue.
3. Insert the rear tree and background layer into the back slot of the base.
4. Add the fence, pine trees, and other middle scenery into the center slot.
5. Insert the floating ghost into its matching position so it appears above the forest.
6. Add the front grass and ground-detail layer.
7. Place the personalized wooden plaque into the front slot.
8. Check that each layer is facing the correct direction and remains visible.
9. Adjust the pieces until the scene is balanced and standing straight.
10. Apply a small amount of wood glue inside each slot for permanent assembly.
11. Wipe away any excess glue and allow the project to dry completely.

Helpful Tips

Use glue sparingly to avoid visible squeeze-out. Lightly sand any tabs that fit too tightly instead of forcing them into place. Handle the thin tree branches, hanging detail, fence sections, and ghost edges carefully during assembly.
