Colorful Wooden Birth Announcement

Protect your first sheet of wood with masking tape so as not to have any unsightly burn marks. 

Select all the elements of the template present on the screen and enlarge or reduce to the desired size. In Xtool Creative Space, deselect layers number 3 and 4  by clicking on the eye to hide them. 

TO ADD THE NAME ON THE TEMPLATE:

1. Add the name and resize it to fit over the text box area
   (make sure the name overlaps the lines you are connecting to.)
2. Select text and the line around the name and under combine tab
   select subtract. (Do not include the outside edge line in the selection.
   The file should be linked and ready to cut.       

IMPORTANT: The two sheets of plywood and the engraving are on different layers. 

If your using an F1, click on each layer and ignore the ones your not cutting out by clicking on the eye. Then move them on to the cutting area as your ready for them. Because the F1  only cuts what is in the grid area, what you do not cut or engrave, simply place them on the side of the grid and make them invisible by clicking on the eye of each layer. This way, you will only engrave or cut what you want by placing them at the center of the grid.
