Personalized Family Star

Open your star ornament design in xTool Creative Space. If you’d like, update the text to include your own name or a family member’s name. Adjust sizing and placement so your personalization fits neatly within the star’s design.

This project involves three layers: one for scoring details, one for engraving text or patterns, and one for cutting out the star shape. Set the power, speed, and number of passes for each layer according to the recommended settings for your chosen material (e.g., 3mm plywood). Double-check all parameters before starting the cut to ensure crisp engravings, clean scores, and a precise final shape.

After cutting and engraving, carefully remove the pieces from the machine. Use glue to join the two stars, as well as the family name element, to form your ornament. Then, apply acrylic paint for a vibrant, festive look. Allow the paint to dry completely before handling your finished creation.
