Опис

What is this

Bead Maker is a pixel (fusion bead/heat shrink bead) pattern generator designed for DIY enthusiasts.

Export Specifications

  • PNG Bitmap: 300 or 150 DPI option; built-in pHYs physical size metadata, imported into typesetting/printing software is at 1:1 actual size (5mm per grid, consistent with MARD standard midi bead spacing)
  • SVG Vector: mm coordinate system, infinitely scalable without distortion, 1:1 actual size
  • Color codes can be optionally marked on the pattern; bead appearance can be square or round
  • Color data covers three brands: MARD (291 colors), COCO (291 colors), Perler (103 colors), with color values derived from text parsing of publicly available color card pages (not image sampling), physical color verification has not yet been performed

Feature Highlights

  • Dual Color Matching Algorithms: CAM16-UCS (default, perceptually uniform color space) and CIEDE2000 can be switched, catering to different matching preferences for images
  • Three Processing Modes: Smart / Cartoon / Realistic, with adjustable color merging thresholds, balancing detail retention and color code quantity control
  • Three bead brands switchable (added in v1.4): MARD 291 colors / COCO 291 colors / Perler 103 colors, after switching, the original image will be rematched and generated with the new brand’s color codes; MARD also offers preset switches for 221 colors simplified and 291 colors full. Supports searching by color code, bulk cancellation by group, isolated preview and natural linkage with color code library
  • Maintain Original Image Ratio (fixed in v1.5): If the width (grids) is set too large, exceeding the total grid limit, it will reduce the width according to the original image ratio and clearly inform the actual number of generated grids, without vertically squashing the image
  • Three Original Example Images (added in v1.5): One-click trial use when no material is at hand, directly see the bead effect
  • Color Code Statistics and Purchase List: Actual usage of each color code is clear at a glance, color codes used too little can be one-click replaced with activated color codes
  • Cleaning Tool: Color code simplification (low usage color codes merged into the closest retained color code), fragment cleaning (isolated color blocks filled into surrounding main colors), aimed at optimizing purchasing and visual experience for pixel art, not a generic pixelation tool
  • Manual Editor: Brush / Eraser / Eyedropper / Fill toolkit (each with self-drawn mouse cursors, current color and color code prominently displayed above the toolbar), grid lines / coordinates / color code three-layer visualization with independent toggles, undo-redo stack covers all edits and regeneration operations
  • 3D Preview (added in v1.1): One-click switch between 2D/3D, OrbitControls for free rotation and scaling, "Not Melted"/"After Heat Fusion" two presets show the real differences before and after completing the bead, camera angle auto frames according to grid size
  • Dual Unit Ruler: Grids and millimeters (mm) switchable, confirming the actual size of the product at any time
  • Global Hotkeys (added in v1.2): Tool switching (V Move / B Brush / E Eraser / I Eyedropper / G Fill), undo-redo (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z), zoom/grid lines/coordinates/color code display, full screen (F), 2D/3D switch (D), open export pop-up (Ctrl+E), save/load (Ctrl+S / Ctrl+O) one-click access, application bar ? button for complete instructions at any time
  • Export Pop-Up (added in v1.2): Parameters like format/resolution/color code annotation/bead shape are collected into a single pop-up; the download entry can only have one at a time—using platform render's export button (collecting platform points per use); when the platform is unavailable (e.g., network issues causing SDK loading failure) the pop-up will automatically switch to our fallback download button (not through the platform, no cost incurred), the two are mutually exclusive, will not coexist on the same screen. During export, the pop-up always shows "Exporting…N%" and an interruptible cancel button (v1.5)
  • Project Archive: Save/load in open JSON format, data is entirely controlled by the user, not dependent on any server
  • Bilingual Interface (local memory language preference), aimed at overseas pixel art enthusiasts market

Usage Steps

  1. In the left column, Select Image (supports JPG/PNG/WebP/BMP/SVG), or directly drag into the upload area; when no materials are available, directly click on one of the three example images below the upload area to try it out immediately
  2. In the right column, adjust the width (grid number), processing mode, color recognition algorithm, and merging threshold in the Pixelation Settings, and click Apply Changes. The calculated height, millimeter size, and total bead count will always be displayed below the width input, allowing you to know the product size without applying
  3. Select Bead Brand (MARD / COCO / Perler) in the left column, then in the Palette and Color Code Library select the activated color codes by preset or manually; use Color Code Statistics to view the purchase list or use the Cleaning tool for color code simplification / fragment cleaning
  4. Use the tool bar Manual Fine-Tuning below the canvas: change color with the brush, clear with the eraser, sample with the eyedropper, fill connected areas; always Undo/Redo
  5. Switch to 3D to view the product effect, comparing the two presets "Not Melted" and "After Heat Fusion" to see the real differences before and after the bead
  6. In the right column, click Export Pattern to open the export pop-up, select format (PNG/SVG), resolution, whether to annotate color codes, bead shape (square/round); the download entry is managed by the export button rendered by the atomm platform (collecting platform points per use)
