Information

A handy engraved conversion chart: volume (cups, tbsp, tsp to ml), weight (flour, sugar, butter, oz, lb to grams) and oven temperatures (°F to °C), framed with Kawung flowers. Laser-ready SVG for 3 mm wood; layers: red = cut, black = fill engrave.

Instruction

1

Step1: Import files & assign layers

Import the SVG into xTool Studio / xTool Creative Space (or LightBurn) and check the size listed in the summary – do not rescale. Red = Cut, black = Engrave (fill). Text is already converted to paths. If the sheet is larger than your work area, move parts onto a second job.
2

Step2: Prepare and test

Use 3 mm basswood or birch plywood. Optionally apply masking tape, focus the laser and run a small test on scrap to dial in engrave depth and a clean through-cut. For jointed or slotted parts, cut one test joint and check the fit.
3

Step3: Engrave, then cut

Engrave first, then cut inner holes and slots, and cut the outer outlines last so nothing shifts.
4

Step4: Finish and assemble

Sand the edges lightly and seal with a food-safe oil or wax (or water-resistant varnish for pieces that never touch food). See the project-specific note below.

Hang from the top hole near the stove or inside a cupboard door. Long engrave – use air assist and check focus. Values are rounded for everyday cooking.
