Information

      This template will hold 15 10mm wide Bamboo Pens and allow you to engrave the pen clip and the top side of the pen. 

You can also engrave the sides of the pens as well but will only be able to hold 8 pens instead of 15.

This is a multipart template but you are not required to use the base plate if you choose not to as it will use another piece of material.

Size of this template is 203.2mm X 203.2mm or 8" x 8" and was constructed with 3mm Basswood.

The assembly of the template is held together with CA glue.

Instruction

Step1

Set your material (3mm Basswood) on your laser cutting panel and set the laser to focus.

WARNING: Make sure you have your cutting panel under the material you are going to work with else you will mark your base when you cut out the template.

Step2

Run the “Primary Engraving” - Black Layer and “Primary Cut” - Red Layer, both of these should be set specifically for the F1 Ultra. You can of course adjust the settings as needed.

Step3

Now that you have the template cut out put a second piece of material (3mm Basswood) on your cutting panel and run the “2nd Board Cut Line” - Blue layer. This will cut out the base for the template.

** This step is not 100% needed if you choose not to do this the jig will still work its just adds a bit of rigidity to the jig by using this second layer **

Step4

If you chose to cut out the base layer, then now you will glue the template and the base together. For this purpose you can use any type of wood glue or CA glue that you would like.

We used CA Glue and activator to get a fast and strong hold.

Once everything is glued you can do a light sand to remove any burn marks, but this is totally optional.
